Waterfalls

Have you ever wondered where the power of nature comes from?  Like water falling from a height where its potential energy is at its maximum, to the bottom where its kinetic energy is at its maximum?  Could we harness this kinetic energy in a pump that would move the water back up the fall, to then fall again; creating a perpetual motion machine (also known as Maxwell's Demon)?

This is a classic example of the transformation of low entropy to high entropy and with this it cannot create perpetual energy.  This loss represented by friction and heat results in ultimately a "heat death" that all of nature and the universe is eventually heading to.  A curious factor from a very beautiful view.
