My wife took a jet ride on a Czechoslovakian jet trainer - the L-39 Albatros. Many were built during the cold war to train Russian pilots to fly the MiGs. This 25 minute flight over Shellharbour included many aerobatic maneuvers catered to the comfort level of the rider. Our pilot owner, Mark Hall, is a 36 year pilot veteran, though he calls himself an "Imposter" since he was never in the military. His engineer is Mark Thurston - affectionately known as Mark II. Together they run Jetflight out of Shellharbour. This flight did a Barrel roll, an Aileron roll, a Half Cuban 8, and several Derry Turns over the scenic cliffs of Clifton and Stanwell park. It was a light build up of 0.5 Gs to a full 4 Gs! So how much do you think your stomach can take?

We did a clock wise loop from Alston Ridge to Berowra Waters to the Great Northern Track, past the Ridge Top Campground and returning by the Turner Fire Trail. This was a very nice jaunt with excellent views of Berowra Waters, the Ferry and the surrounding houses on the water's edge. It also had many native trees, from Blue Gum to Eucalyptus, and many others that I just don't know the names off(!) We went past a little creek and back up to the top of the cliffs via a good amount of rock scrambling. It certainly was a good workout too!

We headed out to the Sydney Harbour National Park, where we visited Bradleys Head and hiked to Chowder Head. It is a well graded hike along the shoreline, with many nice views of the harbor. Along the way there were also many animals, like lizards, birds, and rabbits. Along Taylor's Bay, there were many large sea cliff homes as well. In all it was a pretty good walk albeit a bit gusty in some spots!

Sights and sounds from Sydney's core of the CBD. Centered around Hyde Park, we visited the Anzac Memorial, the water fountain, George Street, Pitt Street, Market Street, the Australian Museum, and St. Mary's Church. We also drove past The Crown on the Barangaroo side of town.

We started our walk from The Wharf, along the cove skirting the perimeter of The Royal Botanic Garden to the Opera House. The Quay was bustling with people. Once we got to the end near The Rocks, we turned around and retraced our steps back to The Quay, and walked across the Royal Botanical Garden and back to The Wharf. This route covers about 4.15 miles.

The views start from the very beginning of the trail. It winds along the cliff edge heading from lookout to lookout. Because the track was closed, we cut up hill towards Hatter Hill Road, then looped back along the bush route returning via Boyd's Beach. After a water break, we then drove to the Red Hands Cave. It was an unpaved road past a weir and on to another camp ground. Beyond the camp ground we drove till we reached a dead-end which is the Red Hands Cave alternate trailhead. Here it was just a few minutes down t o the cave. The cave itself is not very big, but the information provided was very informative.
